Chef Brendan Pelley

Pelekasis is a pop up side project of Chef Brendan Pelley celebrating his passion for Greek cuisine. Pelley’s interest in Greek food is rooted in childhood memories of helping his mom pick spinach stems for spanikopita and the intoxicating scent of Sunday lamb roast at his papou’s house. A recent trip to Greece has left him inspired and in need of an outlet to share his own interpretations of this fun, honest, delicious cuisine.

Chef Brendan Pelley has earned local and national acclaim during his time as executive chef at Zebra’s Bistro & Wine Bar. Bold flavors, confident technique and memorable pairings have earned him praise from The Boston Globe, Boston Magazine, Edible Boston, Bon Appetit and more. Pelley was invited to cook a sustainable seafood dinner at the James Beard House in 2014 to a sold-out dining room. In 2015 he is working closely with the world-acclaimed Boston Children’s Hospital, supporting a partnership between the culinary and healthcare initiatives. Pelley continues his culinary education on a daily basis; working the line, developing recipes, reading voraciously, tending his garden, and most recently, throwing himself into the fire for Fox Television’s 14th season of Hell’s Kitchen hosted by Chef Gordon Ramsay.
